Note: The Commission works from memoranda, preliminary draft reports prepared by staff, letters and written or oral submissions made at its monthly public meetings. When the Commission determines that a project is ready for formal public comment, the Commission releases what is called a Tentative Report and Recommendations. Based on responses received, the Commission either releases an amended Tentative Report and Recommendations for additional public comment or submits its Final Report and Recommendations to the Legislature.

1. New Projects Listed in this section are potential new projects that the Commission may consider.

2. Poor Law This project revises the laws included in the area of the law formerly known as the poor law.

3. Title 39 - Motor Vehicles and Traffic Regulation This project consists of a comprehensive revision of the entire Title. The Introduction section, listed first below, explains the approach taken by the Commission for this revision.

Note: As a result of the number of individuals and groups who downloaded draft information after it became available on the website, the draft tentative report includes only the changes to the law through 12/31/07. The draft will be updated after the conclusion of the comment period to reflect all changes to the law during 2008 and additional detail will be added from Staff notes to supplement the Comment following each section of the draft statute, which explains the modifications to that individual section.

In response to requests received, the Commission has extended the deadline for the submission of comments until June 15, 2008. As a result of the Commission's own deadlines for this project, it is not anticipated that the comment period will be extended beyond June 15th.

4. Title 9 This project deals with modifications to the current version of the Title 9 - including a revised definition of child abuse.

5. Uniform Trust Code This project deals with revisions to the proposed Uniform Trust Code.

6. Uniform Child Abduction Prevention Act This project deals with Uniform Child Abduction Prevention Act.

7. Construction Lien Law This project proposes modifications to the law regarding construction liens.

8. Anachronistic Statutes This project proposes the removal from the statutes those that are anachronistic, unconstitutional or otherwise no longer appropriate for inclusion.

9. Pejorative Terms This project revises statutory provisions that include pejorative terms.

10. Title 22A - Costs This project revises statutory provisions pertaining to fees and costs associated with the Courts.
